Represented an object using Dublin Core as expressed in both XHTML and in XML. Analyzed the ID3v2 metadata scheme for music files. Used a DTD and XSLT to present XML data as HTML.

Conceptualized and developed an ontology for a fictional e-commerce chocolate retailer. Implemented the ontology using Protege software. Includes several classes and multiple slots for each class, with several instances to illustrate the schema.

Completed ten separate exercises utilizing various Photoshop and Illustrator tools, such as slicing, image maps, filters, layering, and text effects. Handcoded a valid XHTML Web site to navigate through the completed assignments.

Using three tools (Google Scholar, Scopus, ISI Web of Knowledge), found articles that cite a particular article of interest. Also analyzed the sources the article cited; discussed the impact and the research context of the original article.

Observed two work and two personal electronic file system organization schemes. Noted organization methods and patterns, and made recommendations for improvements.
