Conducted a heuristic evaluation of the beta interface for NCSU's Scholars Digital Library of Analytics Courseware Collection. Used 8 provided heuristics; evaluated in the context of two professor personas with associated tasks.

Using XSLT, presented XML data in an XHTML table, styling elements differently based on their properties.

Conducted a usability inspection on a classmate's prototype interface. Identified and discussed 5 strengths and weaknesses. Supported evaluation with rationale drawn from academic literature, specific guidelines, and general principles.

Using an existing large-scale journalistic feature Web site (SFGate.com's Great Quake site), redesigned a unified multimedia site that enables easier navigation and better storytelling structure. Focus of project was on the reconstruction of information architecture given a vast collection of available assets.

As an exercise in color and typography, designed a homepage for a Web site without using any real text, photos, or images. Had to communicate a message or a topic for the site through the use of only color and font choices. This page was about yoga.
