peer-to-peer tools, including Last.FM, MySpace, Soulseek, and LaunchCast. Investigated community formation and etiquette, recommendations, ratings, and other communication. Produced 42 page paper and presented findings to class.

Introductory topics included feature extraction, representation, indexing, string-matching algorithms, vector comparison on melodic contour, and operations. Demonstrated query by tapping, query by humming, and query by music excerpts sampled by cell phone.
