Old site used rollover images, table-based layout, and deprecated tags. New site (XHTML/CSS) emulated look & feel, but complied with current Web standards for improved maintainability and accessibility.

Project involved needs analysis, consultation, graphic design, information architecture decisions, logo design, XHTML/CSS development, coding for XML implementation using Cascade Server CMS.

Event Management System: PHP, MySQL, & Javascript Course: Advanced Internet Applications Developed a Web interface using PHP and a MySQL back-end to manage and display event details for a performing artist. System deals with many date functions; automatically places upcoming and past shows in corresponding pages. Uses Javascript and DOM with a toggle link to dynamically hide/show details for each event.

Draw a Saltshaker Course: Visual Communication & Interface Design Assignment was to simply "draw a saltshaker." My sketch portrays two opposing forces--a yin/yang metaphor. The drawing evokes an unexpected tension as evil (the anthropomorphic pepper shaker) leers over its slain victim.

Form Validation: Javascript & DOM Course: Web Databases Designed a registration form that validates field data using DOM elements and properties, regular expressions, and functions. Error messages reported using the innerHTML property in the DOM.
